What information is required?
All link uploads must conform to these specifications.
My Link Helper only supports link file uploads which are in delimited text format.
With delimited text files the first row in the file must contain a column header row. The column header row must be included on the first line of your link upload to reflect the contents within the column.
Valid field delimiters are [ Tilde '~', Pipe '|', {Tab} ]

Data Field Definitions:
LinkTitle: The link title of your external link
Example: "My Link Helper"

LinkURL: The URL (Uniform Resource Locator) of your external link
Example: "http://www.mylinkhelper.com"

CategoryName: The name of the category you would like this resource to be shown in

SubCategoryName: The name of the sub category you would like this resource to be shown in.
Please note: If you fail to provide a high level "CategoryName" this value will be lost

LinkBackLocation: The URL where your website's link can be found on your link partner's website

How often can I submit my link file?
You may only upload your link file once per website. If however your upload contained errors or you decide you would like to make modifications to your upload and resubmit, then you must manually delete all of your link content. Once all link information has been deleted you will have the option to use the link file upload tool again. The easiest way to remove all of your link content is to delete each of your categories. When you remove a category all of the links in the category are also removed.

What happens if my link file contains errors?
Depending on the types and severity of the errors we encounter, your link file will be fully uploaded or completely bypassed. If the errors we encounter are due to improper formatting of your link file no processing will occur. If however, your link file has major errors such as a missing required field, we will display as much information as possible and delete the submitted results so you can make the required corrections and re-submit your link file.
